The web site, wisor.mtsu.edu has been developed to support female STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) majors and to help attract high school senior and undergraduate freshmen women. The site provides STEM career information and highlights careers of successful women in STEM. It provides current statistics about STEM college majors, career opportunities, salaries, benefits, support groups, and professional organizations. It provides web access to databases of literature, references, programs, best practices, and STEM researchers. The site also provides support information for females interested in STEM disciplines such as scholarships and special programs. The WISOR web page has been created as part of an NSF planning grant.
